Dr Keith John Jones PhD, RTTP
Dr Jones has 27+ years of experience commercializing early stage technology and enabling high technology start-ups. Some of his key Roles include: Director of Technology Transfer and Industrial Relations at Khalifa University (Abu Dhabi); Executive Director of Technology Commercialization and research park manager at Washington State University; Director of Commercialization – life sciences at Virginia Tech; Scientific Advisor at the prestigious law firm Lyon and Lyon; and Research Scientist at Mycogen Inc. He is currently a Business Development Manager on the MICRA project and is based at Aston University. Dr Jones has managed hundreds of technology licenses, transfers and start-ups; he has been a Board member of multiple companies and non-profits. He is a Registered Technology Transfer Professional (RTTP) with significant international experience in advising and training in innovative technology transfer. Technically trained in life sciences, Dr Jones has a PhD, North Carolina State University, an MS, University of Kentucky, a BSc (Hons) Biology, University of Southampton, England. He is an inventor on three patents and author of peer reviewed papers about technology commercialization.
